Information about installing central air conditioning system
Installing central air conditioners is often common in large buildings and works. However, now the system has gradually become more popular among households. Therefore, how to install it reasonably is interested by many people. In order for this system to work well and save costs, it is necessary to design and install the outdoor and indoor unit system, which plays an important role.

I./ Instructions to properly install central air conditioner:
In essence when installing or designing large capacity of VRF for buildings or apartments. People often use the air conditioning system in combination with the indoor unit hidden in the ceiling. It ensures both aesthetics and safety. The cold air used for cooling will be blown through the air outlet to cool the entire house. Two types of central air conditioners that are commonly used today are VRV and VRF. Here are the steps to install a central air conditioning system for your reference.



1. Installation of central air conditioning copper pipe
Copper pipes need to be selected in accordance with the requirements and standards of the equipment to be installed. Must be insulated both way and return separately need to be wrapped with moisture-insulating nylon. Between the main pipe and the branch pipe is welded together by Refnet joint device to avoid oxidizing the weld.

2. Install the drain pipe
Once the copper pipe installation has been completed, the next step is to install the drain pipe. This pipeline needs to use PVC pipe suitable for machine size. The minimum slope is 1/100 and must be adequately insulated. This exhaust pipe will drain centrally along the cold engineering shafts and must have a top vent.
3. Installation of outdoor units, central air conditioning units
  • The indoor unit will be fixed by the machine support nut. The underside of the indoor unit and the underside of the false ceiling must be 10mm apart. The indoor unit should be horizontal for easier condensate drainage.
  • The outdoor unit needs to be placed on the concrete pedestal with the specified distance.
After completing the above steps, we proceed to test run to check. Power on the central controller and set the address for each controller.
The power source used to operate the air conditioner must be connected to the common electrical system of the building. Each outdoor unit area should install an electrical panel for easy repair and maintenance later. The electrical panel must be made of mild steel rolled plate at least 1mm thick. Install firmly and take care not to expose electricity.

4. Electrical system installation and test run
After completing the above steps, we proceed to test run to check. Power on the central controller and set the address for each controller.
The power source used to operate the air conditioner must be connected to the building's general electrical system. Each outdoor unit area should install an electrical panel for easy repair and maintenance later. The electrical panel must be made of mild steel rolled plate at least 1mm thick. Install firmly and take care not to expose electricity.

II./3 Notes when installing central air conditioner:

1. Notes when installing the gas splitter
Installers need to pay attention to the size when connecting pipes turn left and right, there should be a minimum distance of 50cm. The minimum distance between 2 gas splitters is 1m. If there is a bend near the gas splitter, the gas running in the pipeline can cause noise. And especially when installing the gas splitter, it should not be tilted so that it will deflect the gas flow in the pipeline. This leads to the system not working as expected.
 
2. Note when calculating condensate flow
With this system we can calculate according to the approximate fast calculation method of taking 6l/h for each HP. For example, with a system that has 2 3HP machines and 3 2HP machines, the condensate flow can be calculated as: 6l/h x (3HP x 2 machines + 2HP x 3 machines) = 72l/h. However, this calculation is only approximate. To be able to calculate 1 accurately you need the advice of experts.

3. Note to choose vacuum pump
To be able to vacuum effectively, it is necessary to pay attention when choosing a vacuum pump.
  • Select a vacuum pump that can reduce pressure below -100.7 kPaG
  • Choose a vacuum pump that has a relatively large drain and should use a pump with a minimum flow of 40 liters / min.
